Salary:  $ 18 hourly for 40 hours per week

Benefits: Relocation costs covered by employer.  Company group benefits available after a 6-months probationary period.

Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience:  Not required.  Will train (On-the-job training provided)

Work setting: Supermarket or bakery department

Responsibilities include:
Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
Bake mixed dough and batters
Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
Operate machinery
Organize and maintain inventory
Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods
Inspect kitchen and food service areas
Prepare special orders
Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
Provide on-site bakery customer service

Must be available to work flexible shifts which may include early mornings and evenings

Able to follow recipes

Frequent turning and reaching
Constant use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing, occasional forceful gripping
Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs
Physically demanding
Ability to distinguish between colours
Overtime required

Hand-eye co-ordination
